Sundarkand Path
Sundarkand Path
The Sunderkand Path is a chapter from the Ramayana by Valmiki that describes the exploits, intelligence, and devotion of Lord Hanuman. Reciting or listening to the Sunderkand Path is a spiritual practice that brings spiritual, physical, mental, and material benefits to the lives of devotees.
Reciting it regularly is believed to eliminate all troubles and provide relief from planetary doshas. It removes all challenges and sorrows from your life and fulfills your wishes and desires. It gives you the courage and strength to face your adversities. Due to its intense power, the Sunderkand is considered highly auspicious and of immense significance.
About Sundarkand
Sundarkand is the fifth chapter of the Ramayana, made up of three shlokas, six chhand, sixty dohe, and five hundred and twenty-six chaupai. ‘Sunderkand’ literally translates to ‘beautiful chapter/journey.’ It follows the journey and actions of Sri Hanumanji in Lanka while searching for Sita.
It takes approximately 2-3 hours to recite the Sunderkand. For best results, it must be recited regularly. What is interesting about this chapter is that Lord Hanuman is the focus rather than Sri Ram. Sunderkand describes devotion and centers Ram Bhakti, which is why it is such a powerful prayer for devotees.
Significance of Sundarkand Path at Hanuman Garhi Mandir
Sunderkand Path describes the wisdom of Lord Hanuman and his devotion to Sri Ram. He crosses an ocean in a single leap and overcomes Sursa to achieve his goals. Through Hanuman, anything is possible, and you can accomplish any task through his grace. Tulsidasji himself requested Lord Hanuman to bless those who recite the Sundarkand regularly, which Hanumanji accepted.
After Lord Rama became the rightful king of Ayodhya, Hanuman ji took up residence on a small hill in central Ayodhya to oversee the kingdom and protect it from enemies. It is believed that Hanuman ji still resides at the Hanuman Garhi temple at the top of this hill. As one of the most important temples of Hanuman ji, any prayer that is offered to him here is especially sacred and significant. Through Ayodhya Astro, devotees can offer Sundar Kand Path recitation at the holy Hanuman Garhi Mandir in Ayodhya to seek his auspicious blessings.
Sunderkand guides devotees towards achieving mental peace and spiritual knowledge. Reciting the Sunderkand Path at Hanuman Garhi Mandir fills devotees with positive energy and strength and helps them attain Hanuman ji’s blessings even more efficiently. If you find yourself confused, spiritually drained, or facing problems in your personal or professional life, the Sunderkand will lend you guidance and strength.

Triyuginarayan Temple, Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand
Triyuginarayan Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is a historic and sacred site located in Triyuginarayan village of Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand. This ancient pilgrimage spot lies on the route from Guttur to Shri Kedarnath, and its architectural style is said to have influenced the design of the Kedarnath Temple. The village holds great religious importance, as scriptures describe Triyuginarayan as the ancient capital of Himavat, and it is here that the holy marriage of Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati took place.
It is believed that their wedding was performed at a large havan kund (sacred fire pit) where fire was lit in all four directions. Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and many other deities and sages were present at this divine ceremony. Even today, devotees take the sacred ash from this havan kund to their homes, considering it a blessing for a happy married life. The temple is called “Triyuginarayan” because it is said to hold signs from three yugas (ages), symbolizing the eternal bond of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Maa Parvati.
The temple complex also has four important kunds: Rudra Kund, Vishnu Kund, Brahma Kund, and Saraswati Kund. The waters of these kunds are considered highly sacred, and it is believed that the gods bathed in them during the wedding of Shiva and Parvati. Among them, Saraswati Kund is especially revered, as its water is believed to have originated from the navel of Lord Vishnu, giving it even greater spiritual significance.
